Purchase in honor of a friend and loyal benefactor
of the Museum, 1995.46-.47

Chinese porcelains made to appeal to specific foreign
tastes from the seventeeth to nineteenth centuries are
known as Chinese export porcelains. These two spaniels
were intended as mantelpiece decorations.
