Annie Leibovitz took this photograph of John Lennon,
her first assignment for Rolling Stone magazine, when she
was twenty years old. Her strong response to Lennon
prompted her to say that a photographer "can't help but
be touched by what goes on in front of you. I no longer
believe there is such a thing as objectivity. Everyone has
a point of view."
