The program is still recruiting new freshmen for the 2006-2007 academic year. Please Vickie Suggs if you are interested in becoming an IOS Scholar. You must be a first year undergraduate student and you must belong to an underrepresented group (women and minorities) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Poster Presentation Accepted. Participants of the Intel Opportunity Scholars Program have had their research accepted at the 2006 Computer-Supported Cooperative Work, which will be held November 4-8 in Banff, Canada. Anne Hewitt, a junior CS Major, and Andrea Forte, Ph.D. student in CS, were selected to present at this year's conference. The title of the poster presentation is "Crossing Boundaries: Identity Management and Student/Faculty Relationships on the Facebook."
