Return to Georgia Tech!

Fall 2018, here I come!

After a 4-year leave of absence (first in Leuven, then at Skydio, and finally at Facebook’s Building 8) I will return to teaching and research at Georgia Tech. This fall I will teach mobile manipulation (web-page forthcoming), a cross-cutting, interdisciplinary course on what it takes for a robot to both manipulate and move within its environment. This will be a learning experience for me, as well, as I’m big on mapping and localization, but less so on manipulation. Some of what we will learn in the course will, I hope, be put to good use in new research endeavors.
