Eshwar Chandrasekharan
About me: I am a Computer Science PhD candidate specializing in Social Computing at Georgia Tech, in the School of Interactive Computing. My advisor is Dr. Eric Gilbert in the comp.social lab. Previously, I obtained my B.Tech and M.Tech (Dual Degree) in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Current Work: I am interested in the language used in social media: linguistic differences and similarities; unique properties that extend across communities or are specific to communities. My current work is on Combatting Abusive Behavior in Online Communities.
Research Interests: I want to study language in Social Media and explore online social phenomena through the lens of Natural Language Processing(NLP). My interests are broadly in Social Computing, NLP, Machine Learning, Socio-technical systems and CSS.
