My research interests are in the areas of machine learning and data mining for healthcare applications. A major focus of my thesis’ work has been on developing scalable and interpretable tensor decompositions for knowledge discovery from electronic health records.
My professional experience includes internships at the Health Informatics Division of Weill Cornell Medicine, the RD&D Department of Sutter Health, and the Healthcare AI group of Microsoft Research Cambridge.
I come from Athens, Greece and have earned the Diploma and M.Sc. degrees from the School of Electronic & Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Crete, under the supervision of Professor Minos Garofalakis.
