Student Expectations with Tutoring
Thank
you for requesting tutoring from the College of Computing (CoC)!
We look forward to providing you with support this semester. In order to
provide the best support, the following is expected in the student-tutoring
relationship:
a.
Be on time at the proper meeting place
b.
Be prepared (bring any materials you will need
for the session)
c.
Provide the tutor with the information that you
want to cover in the tutoring session (via the notes section of the form)
d.
Be involved, courteous, and polite
Excused
absences are anything officially sanctioned by the Institute (i.e. weather
conditions, NCAA participation, etc.) or personal emergencies (i.e. death in the
family, etc). These
will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Please be prepared to
provide documentation regarding why you missed tutoring, including but not
limited to medical excuses, obituaries, travel letters, etc. Any other reason is considered unexcused.
You
will have one unexcused absence for the duration of the semester. The second
miss will result in the cancellation of tutoring services and could also mean
the restriction upon future tutoring services from the CoC.
Therefore, please do your best to
attend all sessions.
Please
be aware that our tutors work hard to provide the best support possible. In
return, we ask that everyone do their best to maintain a positive and
respectful working relationship.

you have any questions, feel free to contact me at tim.brown@cc.gatech.edu or 404/385-6518.
