Symposium on Animal Cognition
The
1994 Cognitive Science Conference
Symposium on Animal Cognition will
address issues in animal reasoning, animal communication, the
possibility of animal language, and comparative animal-human studies.
Speakers at the Symposium will also present recent work in the field
of animal cognition.
The topic of this year's symposium was the relevance of animal
cognition to human cognition. Featured speakers at the Symposium
included Duane Rumbaugh, Mike Tomasello and David Washburn. Around
fifty people attended the Symposium.

The de facto co-chair of the symposium is
Kurt Eiselt. Without his assistance, the symposium would
