ICANHAZSUPERSOAKERZ - Intelligent Pet Deterrent Gate
What is it?
Many people set up little gates throughout their house to keep pets confined to certain areas. These gates can be annoying when you're walking from room to room and you have to step over them. Also, these gates will easily keep out dogs, but cats can jump them without a problem. This system will allow for dogs, cats, or both to be selectively gated while leaving no obstruction to humans.
We will be building a device that senses when an animal crosses through it's path and subsequently shoots water at the animal if it is not permitted to cross into the area that the device is guarding. The device will be able to tell the difference between targets and non-targets and will only act when a target is present. To determine which targets should be shot with water, a dial will be provided for the user to set preference levels. Changing the dial will change the height conditions that must be met for the water guns to fire.
