Before rethinking the process, I'd make darn sure we know why the
out of memory error occurs. I did a very simple but effective
experiment this past Monday night to resurrect some of the units.
I just took a look at the config.sys files of the units that were
misbehaving and made them correspond to the units that worked. Things
went fine on the conversion after that. I logged my activity on
a piece of paper and attached it to Jason's log of equipment status
and handed that to Dale/Valerie Monday night. I also checked the
virtual memory settings for a couple of units to find that they were
all over the map in terms of amount allocated to VM and type of VM
(permanent BIOS, temporary MS-DOS file, 32-bit addressing). Does
anyone know anything about these settings and what they mean and
what we want? If so, speak up. Else we HAVE TO find someone to help
us figure out the most reliable configuration setting. Try contacting
Dietmar Aust, Jason.

I'm sure that's it. :) Someone just needs to show Valerie and Dale
what to do when that happens.
