The Cheetah

Heather is a first year PhD student at Georgia Tech working with both Jeff Pierce and Gregory Abowd. She received a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. Heather's research interests lie in Human Computer Interaction, specifically Ubiquitous Computing and Personal Information Environments. Currently, she is investigating opportunistically annexing I/O devices using PDAs and Smartphones. Originally from New Bern on the east coast of North Carolina, Heather is interested in boating, waterskiing, diving and most other things that involve water. She also enjoys running, hiking and traveling. Her activities at Tech include the Graduate Student Committee, and the advisory board of Women@CC.
