ACTIVE MIDDLEWARE
Active Middleware: communication, computation, and collaboration of future
collaborative applications. Our challenge areas:
- representation, transformation, access, storage of
large amounts of complex data where timeliness is key,
particularly to meet end users' interactive response time needs.
- tools, middleware, and system support that exploit the heterogeneous
and distributed target hardware and software
- dynamic resource management: considing the extent
and availability of resources in the underlying hardware/software
platforms (i.e., networks, compute and storage engines).
dQUOB --
run-time detection technique for information access and
control in high performance scientific applications. A coupler
effort.
