Request an Overload-When all sections of a CS course are full, students may apply for an overload permit through the registration menu on OSCAR. Overload requests will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 6th. CoC will review requests weekly and students will be notified by e-mail when decisions are made.
Changing Major/Declaring CS Minor
We cannot assist students interested in changing their major and declaring their CS minor during Phase 2 registration. To change your minor, you will be required to sit in on the monthly change of major meeting.
Completion of CS 1331 is required to declare the CS minor.
Spring Semester 2014
We are rolling out a new process for requesting and receiving overloads for graduate level CS courses. This applies to Graduate Level Courses ONLY (6000-8000). Undergraduate course overload requests will remain the same.
OVERLOADS WILL NO LONGER BE REQUESTED VIA OSCAR.
To request an overload for a graduate level CS or CSE course, you must attend the class next week Monday, January 6-Thursday, January 9, talk to the instructor, and get on their overload list. They will then give the list of those they will approve to us on Thursday and we will enter the overloads Thursday evening and Friday morning.
