Phase 1 Registration for Spring 2015 Semester:
For classes restricted to Juniors and Seniors, students must be Juniors (60 credit hours) or Seniors (90 credit hours) at the time of registration.
Major Restrictions- Major restrictions will NOT be removed for ANY CS/CX courses during Phase I registration. Degree candidates or those with extenuating circumstances can email
cc-undergraduatepermits [at] lists [dot] gatech [dot] edu for consideration. The student should explain why the course is needed in Spring semester and why it has not been taken yet.
Class Restrictions- Class restrictions will be lifted on the following courses by noon on Thursday, November 6: CS 1301, CS 1315, CS 1371.
Requesting an Overload-When all sections of a CS course are full, students may apply for an overload permit through the registration menu on OSCAR. Overload requests will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 10. Students will be notified by e-mail when decisions are made.
Overloads given during Phase 1 Registration must be used by 4 p.m. on November 14.
Changing Major/Declaring CS Minor
*Advisors cannot meet with change of major or minor students during registration.
Change of Major- Students interested in changing or declaring a double major in CS must attend a Change of Major meeting. Sign up for the Change of Major meeting online at: http://www.cc.gatech.edu/node/add/major-change .
Declaring a CS Minor-Completion of CS 1331 is required to declare the CS minor.
Students interested in declaring a minor can do so by visiting an advisor the week after Phase I registration ends, beginning November 17.
Spring Semester Phase I Registration:
Graduate level courses will be restricted by Specialization area from October 27-November 2. These restrictions will be removed by noon on November 3.
Courses will remain Major Restricted until noon on November 10.
Most courses will open for any major by noon on Monday, November 10.
If you require an overload for a course that is closed, you should attend class for the first week of Spring semester and speak to the instructor. No overload requests will be accepted via OSCAR.
