Chair Search: Computational Science and Engineering
The School of Computational Engineering is seeking a new chair. CSE is an academic discipline devoted to the systematic design, development, study, and application of computer-based models of natural and engineered systems. CSE draws upon concepts from computer science, applied mathematics, science, and engineering, and is an inherently interdisciplinary field where collaboration is key to solving challenging real-world problems. Founded in 2005, the School of CSE is one of the first academic units devoted to the CSE field as a department and offers multiple graduate degree programs.

- October 2026–January 2027: Ongoing recruitment activities
- January 15, 2027: Deadline to submit application materials for optimal consideration; however, applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled
- January–February 2027: Conduct virtual semi-finalist interviews with the search committee
- March–April 2027: Host on-campus finalist interviews with the School, College, and Institute community
- May–June 2027: Hiring decision and finalist negotiations
July 1, 2027: Anticipated start date for the new School Chair
