FASET Day Itinerary — Georgia Tech College of Computing
Before FASET: Preparation Checklist
- Get organized and confident before orientation.
- Understand key deadlines and logistics for a smooth start.
- Academic prep: review course options, think about questions for advising.
- Complete College of Computing FASET Canvas modules.
- Complete pre-FASET survey from undergraduate advising office.
- What to bring:
- Fully charged laptop or compatible device (Note: Chromebooks are not compatible with Georgia Tech’s registration systems)
- Georgia Tech student ID number
- Any important documents
- Tips for a Successful FASET Day:
- Arrive on time and have your laptop fully charged.
- Prepare questions ahead of time for advising.
- Familiarize yourself with registration time ticket and Buzzport.
- Don’t hesitate to ask about transfer credits or course planning.
FASET Day Schedule – College of Computing
Morning Kickoff
Coordinated by the FASET Office
The day will begin with general FASET programming as outlined by the campus-wide schedule.
College of Computing, Undergraduate Advising Welcome
- Students will be welcomed by the College of Computing and escorted to their advising location.
- A FASET Student Leader or Student Assistant will guide you to the appropriate advising space.
Advising and Registration Support
Meet with your assigned FASET advisor to:
- Discuss suggested course selections for your first semester.
- Receive support and guidance tailored to your academic goals and interests.
When registration opens:
- Advisors will be available to assist you with the registration process.
Transfer credit questions?
- A dedicated advisor will be on hand to help with CS or CM transfer credit equivalency questions.
- For other departments’ transfer credits, permits, or overloads, visit the Permits and Overloads page for the appropriate contact or process.
