General Information
Details
Ada Gavrilovska is a Professor in the School of Computer Science at Georgia Tech, where she leads the Kernel research group. Her research is focused on designing systems for emerging technologies, and she develops new systems software solutions in response to new hardware, applications, and use cases. Her research has considered the impact on systems software from heterogeneous memory and storage systems, programmable network processors, high-performance interconnects, multi/manycores, virtualization, cloud and edge computing. Gavrilovska’s research has been supported by the NSF, the Department of Energy, by joint programs by the Semiconductor Research Corporation and DARPA, and by multiple industry awards.
Dr. Gavrilovska teaches introductory and advanced courses on operating and distributed systems, on-campus as well as in the Georgia Tech Online MS program in Computer Science (OMSCS). In the past, she has also offered Special Topics courses on High Performance Communications and on Edge Computing and IoT.
Gavrilovska has served as program or general chair for ASPLOS'27, OSDI’24, SOCC’22, HPDC’22, USENIX ATC’20, and as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing and the ACM Transactions of Computer Systems.
