Statement of Research Interests:

My interests lie in exploring the security, performance, and availability properties of computing systems. My work seeks to both inform the development of these systems to address immediate, important societal problems as well as to fundamentally enhance our understanding of the sciences underlying computing subfields including computer systems organization, networks, and security and privacy.

Statement of Teaching Interests:

My teaching interests focus on computer security and networking, with an emphasis on helping students understand how real-world systems behave, fail, and are defended in practice. I aim to prepare students to reason carefully about technical tradeoffs, measurement, and impact when building or evaluating computing systems.
