Statement of Research Interests:

Broadly, my research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) focuses on understanding and creating the technical underpinnings necessary to support novel and empowering user experiences. More specifically, my work is aimed at improving the ability of lower-layer infrastructures—such as networking and security—to support a desired user experience.

Statement of Teaching Interests:

I teach technically-oriented HCI and media topics, including User Interface Software and Computer Audio. I have also taught courses ranging from introductory programming classes to graduate-oriented prototyping and design courses.
