Computer Science Professor Earns Regents' Appointment
A veteran professor from the School of Computer Science (SCS) is among those recently honored by the University System of Georgia (USG) Board of Regents (BOR).
The BOR appointed Dana Randall as Regents’ Professor at its meeting in June. The honor recognizes Randall’s longstanding commitment to academic and research excellence.
Randall began working at Georgia Tech in 1996. In addition to her position in SCS, Randall is an adjunct professor in Georgia Tech’s School of Mathematics.
Her research on randomized algorithms and stochastic processes bridges computer science, discrete mathematics, and statistical physics.
