Suresh Marru is a Research Professor and Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Science and Engineering (ARTISAN) at Georgia Tech. His research spans the interdisciplinary areas of AI systems, distributed computing, and cyberinfrastructure. Marru’s work focuses on democratizing access to advanced AI by commoditizing the infrastructure required to build, orchestrate, and operate large-scale AI systems for reproducible computational science. Through initiatives such as the Nexus supercomputer, Apache Airavata, and Cybershuttle, he champions open-source frameworks that enable AI models to run seamlessly across heterogeneous computing environments, accelerating discovery across scientific disciplines.
