Georgia Tech Climbs in AI, Maintains National Leadership in Graduate Computing

From artificial intelligence (AI) to the foundations of theoretical computing, Georgia Tech’s College of Computing has once again been ranked among the top 10 destinations for graduate computer science programs.

The 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings, announced this week, ranked Georgia Tech No. 7 overall among Best Computer Science Schools.

The 2026 rankings showcase the depth and breadth of the College’s strength across key computing fields. Notably, the latest rankings advance Georgia Tech to No. 5 for graduate AI studies.

This is the second consecutive year that the graduate AI program at GT has improved in the rankings.

Georgia Tech also ranked No. 6 in Systems, No. 13 in Theory, and No. 15 in Programming Languages.
