Statement of Research Interests:

Professor Goel's research over the last forty years has focused on cognitive systems at the intersection of AI and cognitive science. Much of his early work on cognitive systems explored computational design and creativity. Much of his recent work investigates AI in education and education in AI. His current research focuses on AI for adult learning and online education.

Statement of Teaching Interests:

Professor Goel current interests in teaching focus on knowledge-based AI, cognitive science, AI in education, and education in AI. As part of Georgia Tech OMSCS program, he has developed online courses in knowledge-based AI and cognitive science that have been taken by over 15,000 adult learners.
