I take a holistic, concept-first approach to teaching that emphasizes high-level thinking, motivation, and comparison across ideas. My classes prioritize active engagement. Courses are designed in alignment with clear learning objectives, and are continuously improved using student feedback.  Supporting student success is a priority in my classroom.

Programming Assignment Re-design (Spring 2026)

Revamped take-home assignment structure to focus on real-world applications and holistic applications of course material.

Oral Assessment Introduction (Fall 2025)

Included oral assessments as part of final course grade in order to improve students' communication skills, increase integrity on take-home assignments, and more thoroughly evaluate student mastery of course material.
