The promotions list includes four faculty members who were promoted to Professor. Five faculty earned tenure. Three of them were promoted to Associate Professor. The promotions and tenure appointments are effective next academic year.
College faculty promoted to full Professor are:
- Polo Chau, School of Computational Science & Engineering
- Betsy DiSalvo, School of Interactive Computing
- Ada Gavrilovska, School of Computer Science
- Thomas Ploetz, School of Interactive Computing
Promoted to Associate Professor and earning tenure are:
- Joy Arulraj, School of Computer Science
- Matthew Gombolay, School of Interactive Computing
- Zsolt Kira, School of Interactive Computing
Earning tenure are:
- Celine Lin, School of Computer Science

“These career advancements reflect years of hard work, great scholarship, and deep contributions to the academic community and beyond,” said Orso.
“It was my absolute pleasure to write letters for and present these cases at the Institute RPT Committee Meeting, which allowed me to brag about all the amazing work of these great colleagues.”
